2012 Signs of the Apocalypse are many. A detailed explanation is given as below.
The calendars of Mayan which are said to be the most accurate calendars end in the year 2012. It is predicted that with the end of the calendar, a new age will start from zero, thus signifying the end of life. The Mayans basically followed three calendars; a solar calendar which was 365 days long and a holy calendar which was 260 days long. Both these calendars synchronized every 52 years. They also followed a long count calendar. The present long count calendar started in 3114 BC and is coming to an end soon; this is believed to bring great destruction to life on the planet.
Another sign that supports the Apocalypse is the earth pole shift, also called the geomagnetic reversal, which according to NASA, may happen sometime during the end of 2012. This phenomenon is where the Earth’s north and South Pole interchange rapidly causing destruction of lives and the malfunctioning of all electronic gadgets on earth. It is also said to have an influence on the birds, animals and fishes that will be lost as they will not be able to judge the correct direction. This could result in major earthquakes, volcanoes and movement of magnetic plates.
Some people strongly believe that Planet X or Nibiru may pass very close to the earth or may even collide with the earth in this year, causing earthquakes, tidal waves and may even flip the earth upside down. However, this idea was long presented in 1995 and was supposed to happen in May of 2003. This theory was based on the ancient Sumerian carvings and misinterpretations of astronomical observations. Since the planet did not collide in 2003, many believe that this event may happen in year 2012.
Another theory speaks of a black hole alignment, when an alignment of the galactic center occurs, it is believed that it will create a combined effect of gravitational between the black hole and the sun at the galaxy’s center which is otherwise known as ’Sagittarius A*’ impacting the earth in several ways. However, this phenomenon has already occurred in 1998 and the Sun’s path as calculated by us takes it above the galactic center rather than near it. The earth is also said to be thirty thousand light years from Sgr A*, and studies indicate that the Earth should be at least 6 million times closer for this to impact us.
The web Bot is another sign. This is a series of bots that are automated that search for specific keywords on the internet, searching for patterns. This device studies ‘web chatter’ and predicts various things. The web bot predicted the attacks on 11 September, and now claims to predict disasters, such as earthquakes as well. This recently predicted that the end of the world was in 2012. However, most people are skeptical of this prediction.

Mayan Calendar December 2012 – What the ancients foresaw centuries back, was it really the end of the world as we know it today or was it just the end of the Long Count Cycle calendar?
The Maya civilization long ago inhabited the southern part of Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, western Honduras, and Belize. This civilization is known for its intricate and accurate calculations of time. The Maya sought advice from priests who in turn looked to the readings of sacred calendars for almost all aspects of life which included agricultural, civil, and religious matters. Time played such a prominent role in their lives that even children were named after the dates they were born on. The concept of zero, which was an advanced concept back then was known to the Mayans and used in their calculations. Zero was represented by a shell.
The sacred calendar of this mysterious civilization was called Tzolkin. Just like our calendar which uses 30 days/12 months, the Tzolkin uses numbers from 1 to 13 with 20 day names in sequence for 260 days. After which, the same number and name sequence will reoccur. Research has found that the 20 day base is the number of toes and fingers and 13 relates to the phases of moon from new moon to full moon. It is also suggested that 260 days can be related to the gestation period of humans of nine months. So far, there have been no inaccuracies found in this calendar.
The main reason why this calendar has come into the spotlight recently is the fact that this calendar predicts that the World would come to an end at the completion of 5,125 years cycle which is, Dec 21st 2012 according to our calendar and this time is the same time when NASA scientists predict Solar Flare and the Great Polar shift of the Earth will occur.
Every 5,125 years is called Long Count Cycle. According to the Mayan’s this is when the Gods destroy life and try to create more obedient and subservient creatures. The current Long Count began in 3114 BC and will be ending soon in 2012.
Mayan books talk of different ages that resemble the evolution of the life on this planet. In first age, was the dawn of creation and Earth was inhabited only by vegetation and birds and animals, but unfortunately they do not speak and could not pay their respect to gods and so were destroyed. In second and third ages, the belief is that the gods created humans from mud and wood, but they too failed to pay homage and were destroyed. The Mayan mythology believes that we are currently living in the fourth and final age of fully functional humans, the end of which is predicted to come soon.

The inevitable Earth Pole Shift 2012 – What to expect? Is this the end?
Scientist can only theorize the consequence of an earth pole shift as the last time this happened, Earth was still not inhabited by humans. An Earth Pole shift also called the ‘geomagnetic reversal’ is when the south and north magnetic poles have their positions reversed abruptly.
The pole shift theory is based on certain findings: the earth reverses its poles regularly at exact intervals of time. Scientifically, it has long been proven that when a beam of lightning strikes a magnet, the poles in the magnet rapidly reverse. The same is true for the Earth which acts like a big magnet. The sun undergoes changes every 11,500 to 12,000 years which results in outbursts of huge amounts of energy causing the earth to shift poles. The result is nothing less than a major catastrophe.
The earth’s magnetic field has a huge influence on all electronic equipment. A phenomenon like the Earth pole shift would put the entire world into chaos. The Mayan calendar also makes such predictions; according to it, the end of the world will be around 2012 – to be more precise 21st (although some sources say 23rd) December 2012. This calendar has never been proven to be inaccurate till now.
Life is set to transform into something spectacular and heavenly – so say the mystics and prophets of hope. For them, 2012 marks the beginning of a new more positive period in human history. As we enter a zone of high energetic frequency, all life on earth and indeed this quadrant of our universe is believed to transform to a higher order. As December 21, 2012 approaches, theologians, scientists and prophets are waiting for the sky to fall….literally. One of the most controversial debates surrounding December 2012 is that of a meteor striking Earth. Even NASA agrees “something wicked this way comes”.
Meteors are space rocks; varying in size, meteors often disintegrate upon entering Earth’s atmosphere. Hundreds hit Earth every year, but impact is minimal. What makes a meteor strike around 2012 special and why has it attracted attention of NASA and world governments; perhaps because this meteor was predicted thousands of years ago and has struck devastating blows to Earth before.
Lurking in space is an object known as Planet X, Nibiru, or the 10th Planet. Only recently seen by astronomers, Planet X has a history documented in Samarian texts, ancient Mayan writings, the Bible, and predictions of Nostradamus. Known as “Wormwood” in the Bible, scholars believe the passing of Planet X through Earth’s atmosphere set into motion the flood of Genesis. They further believe Planet X, or Wormwood, is the force mentioned in Revelation that brings destruction in end times.
Using charts and graphs, mathematicians calculated Planet X comes close to Earth every 3600 years and each pass brings considerable atmospheric change. The Earth observes a cycle of global warming and glacier melting. Sound familiar? NASA first observed Planet X in 1983 using Infrared Astronomical Satellite or IRAS. Since then changes have been documented on planets in close range of Planet X.
Pluto, Neptune’s Triton moon, and Jupiter have suffered climatic disturbances similar to Earth’s. As planetary temperatures rise, polar ice caps melt with increasing speed and volcanic eruptions increase. Could this be Earth’s future? The prediction is a meteor will strike; where does Planet X come into play?
Planet X is five times larger and has 100 times the mass of Earth. Planet X has a gravitational pull so powerful scientists believe recent climatic events, increase in hurricanes, volcanoes, and earthquakes, are a result of Planet X‘s race toward Earth even though it is over 7 million light years away! These activities will swell as Planet X approaches.
Sometime between 2010-2014 Planet X is theorized to pass through Earth’s gravitational field.
As Planet X passes, Earth will stop rotating for three days. After three days, Earth will rotate 90 degrees in less than an hour: the polar shift. This shift results in unprecedented chaos; global winds averaging 200 mph, volcanoes simultaneously erupting, followed by earthquakes resulting in the death of ¾ of Earth’s population. Famine, plagues, and wars will follow killing close to another 20% of world population.
The United States is the last country in the world to mention this planetary calamity. Norway and other European countries have been creating underground bunkers for years to keep citizens from harm. Even Russia has recently warned citizens of impending doom.
Will Earth be struck by a meteor in 2012? While the debate continues over meteor, comet, or Planet X, we would be wise to be forewarned that regardless of what is approaching, its potential to radically impact planet Earth is a reality that many fear.
